So this WordPress blog is new, and you may be wondering why I’ve started yet ANOTHER blog which I will have to keep up. The answer is simple: this is the blog for my forthcoming book.

The release date is a little up in the air, but we’re looking at late November. It’s a novelette, which means it’s just long enough that I can’t call it a short story (16,000 words, but who’s counting?)

This has actually been in the works longer than I’ve let on, but I wanted to make sure everything was set in stone before I started publicly broadcasting it to everyone. Also, since it’s only going to an ebook format right now, we’ll be able to pull it together quicker. Getting things into print always takes a little more effort than getting things into pixels.

However, the end goal is to get this book in print. My agency is going to take the digital rights and get my manuscript turned into an ebook. From there, we hope to drum up interest and sell enough copies that traditional, print publishers do start to notice. So that’s what I’m going to spend my December doing.

I’m very excited about this book. It’s a short, quick read and very true to my style, even if it is the only horror book I’ve ever written. It isn’t too gory or anything, it’s just a good old fashion ghost story, R.G. Summers style.
